Default 2000 Master Window Switch (No memory/memory)

While my current drivers side (master) window switch still works, the rubber is ripped and it does not clip in correctly.

I would like to replace it, however, I have a car without memory seats. The cheapest direct replacement switch I could find was over $400, but ones with the memory option are below $50. I'm wondering if I can buy and use the switch with memory and simply not use the buttons. Additionally, are the connections the same for both switches, or would I have to make a wiring harness/replace some connectors?

Thank you in advance!

I would think the connector and physical size is the same just the programming is different. I replaced mine with memory unnecessarily last month. I'll be happy to send it to you no charge. If it works great. If not you can send it back. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Have you thought about searching for a used switch - try contacting a used parts vendor like VetteNuts and see what is available.

And nice offer by yellow2007 - might be a great way to get a replacement switch.

I've been contacting some local scrapyards and places that specialize in used Corvette parts, and everyone seems to only have the switches with memory.

This is why I'm thinking maybe they only reproduced the memory ones because they work for no memory cars? Either way, I messaged yellow2007, so maybe I'll get lucky with that switch. The corvette community is pretty sweet!

Here's the back of the switch. If you'll notice there are some pins not there or used so I bet the it'll fit.

I believe the memory switches should work fine in a non memory car.

Here's a new one for a little less than $400

Got it in today yellow! Looks and feels 10 times better!

The clip on the top on my old one was broken as well, so it wouldn't stay in place when the buttons were pressed. The new one snapped right in and stays put.

I really appreciate it yellow, this is much better than using two hands to roll up/down windows. Let me know if you need something for yours, maybe I can return the favor!

Glad I was able to help my friend. Yeah, those clips can break fairly easily. Looks much better than your old one......Enjoy..............
