I'll add to that as well, I purchased a plug kit off of Amazon that is actually small screw type plugs that you just need to remove whatever punctured the tire and simply screw in the plug, a lot easier than a traditional plug
The last flat tire this C5 had?..... Never... My last flat tire was in 2002 on eye 580 with the Carrera... and the Porsche "space saver" spare tire from its hidden space under the bonnet floor was assembled and I limped to Americas Tire to wait for the proper Michelin.... Corvette cars with Michelin tires don't have flat tires don't you know. 🤨
Having a spare in the trunk vastly reduces storage space so I'm not sure why you would want one in there.
Correct the Bolt pattern matches. I want a spare incase I get a blow out and don't want to leave my car on the street on a sunday night, cuz no tow truck will pick me up at that time. So even if you have the spare in your garage its good to know.

The exact reason I have the "dreaded" run flats............
+1 for an air compressor, tire repair kit, and AAA. A spare in a C5 is just silly.
Unless you're on a road trip and this happens. Sure, you can WAIT for AAA but I'm impatient and I like to remain in control of the situation whenever possible.

What caused that?! I also replace my tires every 6 years as recommended by tire rack and the manufacturer. If a tire is in good condition, properly inflated, and not too old, it would take something absolutely crazy to do something like that. Modern tires should never fail that catastrophically.
