Put some LEDs in the map lights (mirror) and they are great, much brighter than stock...
Come on when I unlock car with fob, or open door. BUT, if I am sitting in the car,
running or not, and try to turn them on using the switch on the mirror, they come on,
but extremely dim. This has me puzzled. I've only had the car a couple of months,
I don't know if it did that with the incandescent bulbs or not.
Swapped them, no change. Took a picture, one light is on because door is open, other light I have the switch manually turned on. If I turn the switch off, both will come on bright with the doors or key fob unlock
Follow up: fuse #2 was blown, which is some kind of load detection for the BCM....
With fuse bad, I think it defaults to 5 volts.
Still not sure how it can tell difference between courtesy light and map light,
but it is functioning correctly now.
HOWEVER, underhood light is very dim. Have not had a chance to check voltage
yet, but I assume it's going to have 5 volts... may just run a hot wire to that one
