Any idea how long it had been to accumulate a protected forest level of tree debris?

I just bought this particular C5 from a 96-year-old-gentleman. Car has 31k miles and in very good shape, just some clogged udders :-)

That’s why I ripped mine out after 2 flooded motors - no issues in the hardest rains!👍🏻

I cut the bottom of mine out after cleaning them once. Now they drain on their own and leaves can't get caught.

I cleaned mine out today. They were full of june bugs and leaves. Had to build a ramp first since my jack was 6" tall and I only had 5" of ground clearance.

Lol.. I actually did this today while I was checking to see how big a job the clutch master cylinder is going to be. I have never done it before, because my car is a garage queen, but a good dustpan full of road gravel, tiny ground up leaves, and other debris came out. I thought this was only a problem for guys that parked outside around trees, but apparently we all need to do it!

But now mice can crawl in easier? Possibly?

First I tried this and cut the nipples off and motor still flooded in heavy rains - the udder lips were still enough to restrict draining to push water back in motor. Now with no udders the flow is perfect - we had huge rains and still motor was ok.
