Well, I’ll just start by saying you win some and you lose some. I attempted to fix my EBCM on my own and clipped a capacitor drilling/tapping to separate the housings. I can’t find a BOM, list of components or diagram of the circuit board anywhere. There’s a lot of far more knowledgeable people out there than I am on this problem so I am asking for help.
Does anyone happen to know the part, where I can find a diagram or anything that can help me identify the capacitor I need replaced?
I see a number on the label of the one you didn't damage. Can you read the label? Should be in the format of (some number) µF (some number) v
Here is a picture of some capacitors I have laying around as examples.
If you decide to throw it away I'd like to have it to see if I can figure out how to soften and remove that encapsulant without damaging the rest of the unit.
