Kind of a weird question but I wanted to post to get a general consensus about the udders. As I am dealing with some repairs due to an accident I was wondering if anyone has just cut the tips of the udders or just left them completely off. I did notice that they drain into a cavity which then then drains to the ground. So if I cut the tips off then they would not hold any material matter within them. Same thing if I just left them off completely. Has anyone done this and if so what was the result? Cheers!!!
Mine has been off, people like to say it's keeps rodents out but mice can chew through very tough things I doubt flimsy rubber will keep them out....like I said I have had mine off for a long time and no problems.....
I've certainly heard of people cutting off the ends. The passenger side especially doesn't just drain straight down. As such, I wouldn't want to remove it completely. However, trimming the ends would mostly eliminate the need for cleaning. I find that I don't actually have to clean them that often. However, I keep mine a garage. If you keep the car outside, more frequest cleaning might be needed.
Even after cutting the nipple ends off —-my wiper motor still flooded in very heavy rains. Driver side I ripped all mine out - all is great in heavy rains now. Have not touched the battery side.
