Do you mean the abs module? If yes, it depends on the year of your car

This is what the mechanic called it,. apparently goes to the brake lights and cruise control.

That's a pretty big jump. Should be about a thousand dollars cost difference between the 2 components. If it's the brake light switch, then try Rock auto.

A faulty switch will bring up the "service traction control" message on the DIC and when that happens you no longer have brake lights. Additionally, it's possible the "service traction control" message may go away on the next startup or drive but that is only because the switch is working intermittently and once it stops working again the DIC message repeats.

The GM Brake Light Switch #10447139 and its SLS counterpart is discontinued and cannot be bought new regardless of the amount of pictures, sites and interweb listings anyone posts.

Ebay and corvette junkyards are your only source and make sure you get both switches. One is for the brake lamp and one disengages the cruise crontrol.

Easy install but must be done correctly or cruise control will not work:
1. Simply remove the lower black panel under the steering wheel.
2. Remove and replace the 2 switches.
3. Push both switches towards the FRONT of the vehicle - you will hear a rapid click from both and the brake pedal will move.
4. Then, USING ONLY 2 FINGERS, pull up on the brake pedal lightly until you hear them click into the correct position.
