^ borlas used to be known for drone city. I had a borla stinger as my first aftermarket exhaust and the drone was awful.
I believe the more modern borlas have solved this problem, however.
Hi, just chiming in. You're correct! The original exhaust system we offered for the C5 did drone. They are still sold as the S-Type Classic sound level. We've gone back and redesigned new systems and sound levels. Our Touring, S-Type II, and ATAK systems for the C5 do not drone!

I'm afraid we do not. However, we recommend ordering online from one of our dealers for a better price. We only sell at MSRP on our website and our dealers are typically about 10% off of MSRP. Most offer free shipping as well!
I had a classic Borla S-type on my car. It droned like mad. It was like talking into an oscillating fan between 1500-1800RPM. It was loud, I loved the sound, but couldn't stand the drone at cruising speeds.

Yet! Given the population boom Florida is experiencing, I suspect they will have them sometime within the next 5-10 years.....
Florida had them previously under a governor from one major political party in the 1990s. However, they were eliminated by the governor of the other major political party, and that political party has won even gubernatorial election since 2000, thus preventing any reinstatement of any inspections, at least for now.
In Pa. We have emissions and inspections. The emissions is a waste of time. They’re doing millions of cars for 1% that fail. And not all the counties are included in emissions. When it comes to inspections, I don’t mind because for the most part cars are road worthy. Not a lot of junk on the road.
I have a 99 FRC too. I still have stock manifolds and cats. But I do have a Corsa x pipe and Corsa axle back. I’ve always wondered which sub-system I have but the exhaust was on the car when I bought it in 2010. I think it’s great but loud and loud enough are subjective terms. I love the sound on acceleration and deceleration but at cruising speeds you might not find it loud enough?? Corsa’s are an excellent exhaust choice but as with most things may not be your cup of tea.
I have a 1999 Fixed Roof Coupe also. Mine is red. About 20 years ago I took it to Lingenfelter and had a mild cam, long tube headers, blackwing intake and B & B Tri Flow exhaust. Congratulations on your FRC!
