Please take a few moments to review the known probable issues with the car in the stickies forum. Keep a sharp eye out for the things that could cause you second thoughts. Pull the codes with the DIC and make sure there aren't many historical codes -- particularly ABS and traction control related codes. Check the tires for age -- old tires lose grip as the plasticizers evaporate. Watch the harmonic balancer with the engine running -- a bit of wobble can mean a very expensive repair.
You're not getting a sub-50k mileage C5 for $12k unless it's jacked up and/or a branded title.
I agree with that, but like you said there’s a lot of variables. And we don’t know them all on that car. It’s not a $22,000 car to me. I say 17,000. It would be a $12,000 car though if it had a brand of title or some other kind of evidence of damage
No, I think many here are right.....it's only slightly overpriced and even that depends upon how the interior is and what work, if any, has been done on it.
