Default Carpet problems in cargo area.

Anyone know how I can fix this wavy and cankered up looking carpet? I already need new carpet for the front. Was trying to save myself some money and fix the back.

First what is causing this?

Did it get wet? The sun do damage? Did glue let go?

I have a convertible so I have not see this.

First thing figure out what failed then fix it.

If it is just sun damage you may need to replace it.

The photos are not the best to show what is wrong.

Funny you ask. I got a free car fax the other day about the car and found it had been flood damaged, but the paint is dull, my guess is from sitting in the sun but i think the carpet is flood damage. Short story shorter i think the flood damage caused the carpet to be that way. I tried posting a video along with the pics that would have given a way better idea of the situation but it exceeded the forums limit.

If it is flood or sun damage replace it., they make cargo area kits that will make it like new.

Get a steamer and work out the wrinkles and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours.
