I am looking to put a partition (divider) in my Z, and I came across a couple in Eckler's. The one for ~ $40.00 has no carpeting on either side. The one for one for~ $100.00 has carpeting and a Z06 or C5 logo on the trunk side. This may be a dumb question but why wouldn't you want the carpeting and logo showing towards the passenger compartment?
This is what is says on Eckler's web site: "The one-piece unit is charcoal gray and made of high-density, sound absorbing 2 ½" foam and covered on trunk side and edges with black carpet, C5 and Z06 Logos."
Is this partition symmetrical, can you turn it around?
I USED THE PARTITION FOR WEST COAST CORVETTES, VERY EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT ITS HEAVY (1 INCH THICK) DEFINATELY NOTICED A QUIETER RIDE, VINYL ON INSIDE CARPET ON THE OTHER SIDE I HIGHLY REC. IT
Well I'm a goober...I just put the carpeted side towards the cockpit, not the trunk, and I think it looks great. The foam side faces the trunk, but the trunk doesnt seem to mind much. Usually really dark in there anyway. ;) If that would bother you, then you'd probably be happier going with one of the more expensive partitions. I do know that mine made a very significant reduction in the noise level in the cockpit.

Re: Partition from Eckler's (bully)
I have the Eckler "one sided" partition and will take a few photos tomorrow and (hopefully) post them or upload them to my server. I also keep the carpeted side toward the front and the foam to the rear. My trunk does not seem to have a problem with it either, and if it does it hasn't said anything yet...
I got the 40 dollar one from Eckler and went to Wal-Mart and got a roll of the replacement carpet and a can of sprayon headliner adhesive and covered it myself. Looks fine and really does the job. Total invested. About 50 bucks.

Re: Partition from Eckler's (jimvette)
I have a few pics of the partition, both front and rear. Go to the link below and scroll to the bottom http://www.airassault.net/z06/ . I hope this works....
I too have the Ecklers grey partition. Carpet side to the interior, just put a coat of Krylon black on the grey side and it matches the black carpet in the trunk very well!
