Thank you for the response. I am looking at a 2004 CE coupe automatic tomorrow and was interested in how many were made. A relativity simple question but it appears to be a complex answer. Thanks for your help,

I am not sure why so many people concern themselves with how rare a particular car is in making their purchasing decisions. Very few of the latest generations of Corvettes will ever become “collector” vehicles. Maybe the ZR1 in 2019 is the exception. Decide what you want in a vehicle, color, auto or six speed, coupe or convertible, mileage, and year then seek that Corvette until you find it. Remember the auto lowers value by $1000-$1500. Then drive it, use it, and throughly enjoy it.

The Black Book says 2215 LeMans blue Coupes were made but does not have the granularity to narrow it down further. 6928 manual transmissions that year out of 34,064 total units.

I am 69 years old also (but not for much longer) and that is exactly why my CE is an auto. That shifting ship has long since sailed!

There could be other parameters. Apparently that color was commemorative editions with a carbon fiber hood. A few other things mentioned in the black book, you should pick one up. I think it's fun to flip through.

Just over 20% of the total for the year were manual so if you extrapolate that to 2215 LeMans blue coupes you get about 1772 automatics.
