Today my C5 passed on to our grandson who is a tech for a performance car dealership. And more importantly, is experienced with powerful cars, especially Porsches and Jaguars. It was a low mileage, very early build (3rd day of production) '98, which I bought in the summer of '97 - essentially stock apart from wheels and a few other oddments, and was loaded for its year - both tops, etc. MN6 obviously....

It's been a long term plan for him to take it over at some point, and some other things made this the right time.

Best wishes to all of you,

JTL.

Good luck Jack. Thank you for your contributions. However, you are also aware that just because the car is gone, your 25 years experience with C5s is still here! I hope you'll consider still offering advice here and there. Merry Christmas.....

All is well. As I said, it's been the long term plan for a while. I thought of getting a C8, but decided that I probably would not drive that very much either (getting too old!), so not much point.

Amen. As long as you have been her you should know that there are a lot of members here that do not own a Vette but still contribute valuable info to the other members. Hope you’ll stick around.

You've been one of the pillars around here for a long time. I hope you enjoy moving on to a new(er) option.

Happy Trails, Jack!

Good luck and hopefully you stick around and update us on what your grandson does with the car. I'm sure that he must be proud and honored to have it.
