The short answer is yes, however differences in driver skill will vary more than the HP difference. Put both cars in the hands of an experienced (same) driver and the 02 will edge out the 01.

Is there any difference in performance between a 2001 vs a 2002 Z06 because of the horsepower increase?

This probrobly doesnt make much of a difference but the rims are a little lighter in 02, than in 01! I think it's about 1/2 a pound on each one. But it's really all in the driver. :cheers:

I test drove an 01 at the dealer and then got in an 02 for a test drive. Y E S there was a BIG difference!!! :yesnod: :yesnod: :thumbs: I bought the 02 :hurray: with out thinking twice about it. The 01 was ALOT less as it was a left over.
