Best tire combination?

Going with stock C6 tire sizes keeps the overall diameter the same as the stock 17/18 setup. If you're concerned with the gap, lower the car. I run the stock ride height and sometimes wish it was a little lower, but it's nice not worrying about scraping on every curb or incline.

Go with stock C6 size, and that opens up many options for you. If you could spare the money, Michelin Pilot 4S tires are the best you’re going to get.

You can always bump up the tire sizes to 255/40/18 fronts and 295/35/19 rears.The C5 Active Handling/Traction Control won't cause any issues unless the front tires are taller than the rears.
