  • I think one wheel bearing might be original
  • Replaced the A/C compressor (noisy bearing, just as easy to pull the whole thing as to replace the bearing)
  • Intake manifold oil leak around 200k miles
  • Been getting a P1415 air injection code recently (ignore & reset) and an O2 sensor code on occasion (ignore/reset)
  • Headlights were replaced once, I think
  • An A/C tube wore through
  • Driver seatbelt wouldn't maintain ratchet tension
  • Top leaks more in carwashes than it used to
  • Door panel reflectors and those annoying little screw covers fell off
  • Driver seat left bolster seam is just starting to separate
  • A chunk of concrete put a hole in the oil pan (welded to fix)
  • A different chunk of concrete blew out a rear tire
  • Installed a column lock bypass widget
  • Installed an electronic turn signal switch because the hazard switch is such a POS (replaced a few of those)
  • Replaced the tire pressure sensors last year

Otherwise, it's Mobil 1 oil change every 10k miles (burns about 1 qt per 5k miles). I think I changed the spark plugs around 100k.

Not the most recent pic. Needed a bath.

I'm guessing not many other people go "It snowed... I better take the C5 instead of the 4wd truck, seeing as how it has snow tires"

Congrats on hitting that mileage milestone with the car. Great that it has not required a lot of repairs.

Any pictures of it clean to see how the paint has held up?
How has the roof held up? My '98 Convertible top had some slight fraying on the upper outer corner from rubbing while closing the door. My wife's 2000 Convertible never had any fitment issues. I managed to adjust it by changing the tip in, but the wear was from the previous owner ignoring the fitment issue. My 2006 has no fitment issues and at 74.5K miles still looks like new. The window indexing on the C6 convertibles helps with the problem some C5 Convertibles had with rubbing in the upper outer corners.

There's a lot of us. 288k on mine. My tuner has one over 300. One in the museum with over 770k on it, and another guy in one of the facebook groups regularly posts who is over 500 on his.

Oh, isn't that just sweeet - I have to turn off my VPN to see pictures on this site. Wonderful.
Thanks for that photo. Now I don't feel so bad for usually just spraying mine off instead of really washing it every time out!

If you search you will find many C5's over 250K even over 300K+ miles. Even in threads from several years ago.
Congrats on 288K Stingroo.
