Has anyone here changed their fuel filter, or considered it as a preventative measure? I currently have my '03 Corvette with 29k miles at the dealer, and I thought it might be a good idea to have the fuel filter replaced as a precaution. It seems like an inexpensive part to swap out for some added peace of mind.

I'm thinking the same for my recently acquired Z. Probably has never been changed, and although only 10k miles, it may need servicing.
Others should chime in with more knowledge than me.
Later 03s through 04 required dropping the tanks to replace the filter no? If yours has it on the frame rail, might as well replace it. It's cheap and easy enough to get to.
I would definitely have the dealer change the fuel filter. I have an '03 and the fuel filter was located on the frame. I decided to change mine due to time. It took me about 15 minutes.
Was just looking at mine yesterday and deciding to do it. Not to hijack but I have an 02 A4. Noticed it was pretty tight to get my hand up in there. Can you drop the one exhaust hanger to make it a little easier to get to? Seems all the videos I watched, guys had the M6 and a bit more room to work. Any little tips would be appreciated. Thanks
I did mine while I was getting the SC added. Since they were doing the fuel booster and new injectors to support the new fueling, I figured it would be silly not to since it also is a pressure regulator in addition to a filter. Mine is a 02 and had 57K miles on it when I did the swap. Easy job too!
