Just sent for something called rocket chip that plugs into the obd port and claims to increase mileage and horsepower through engine and fuel management. There is a 30 day guarantee so I figured why not. Supposed to be here Saturday so we shall see. Has anyone used one of these? Did it work? As an aside, I hit 32.9 mpg on a 50 mile trip at a consistent 55 mph last week with my 2002 Z06. Could not coax it up to 33. The return trip on same road yielded more to form 26.5 - 27mpg

Real 32.9 or DIC 32.9? Not that it matters, since a relative increase would still be an increase. Curious to see what you find, both with whether this does what it says or whether they refund your money if it does not.
Can't help but notice that there is one (1) CF reference from 2023, where neither the OP nor any responders tried one, and perhaps more telling, no, zero, zip, nada in the way of a quantified review on all of google. Several anecdotal "it really opened up" reviews, but, much like all the magic spark plug wires, not one before/after chassis dyno or even time slip comparison. Do update on what you find.
32.9 on the dic. Stayed that way for about five miles though Back down to the usual 26 or so. after that. Part should be here tomorrow (Saturday) and will be going for a 60 mile trip so I should know a little about it tomorrow night. Will report findings

To get the most out of a chip you'll want the magnets installed on your fuel lines to align everything for maximum flow with minimum resistance.
To get the most out of your car, you have to let your foot actually touch the pedal.
I've found the mileage is much better if you don't. But I get passed an awful lot on the road and have to leave really early to get where I'm going on time

Lol I appreciate the sarcasm
I did used to see on occasion how much milage I could get per tank from my the new 2000 coupe. The best I ever reached was 450. I don't think that is attainable today with E10 fuels. Or at least not on my last coupe which had headers and fu exhaust. That car tapped out at 330 for me per tank, though I had never done such a careful application to the pedal or gear selection as I had with its predecessor.
So to everyone who is waiting with bated breath (or otherwise) for the thumbs up or down on the rocket chip, you'll have to wait a little longer. The post office failed to deliver so the soonest I'll have the report on the launch, so to speak, will be Tuesday evening. Hang loose folks!

I have a feeling that the end results will not be positive, but awaiting your report by of just how well this works. Hopefully the manufacturer of the device follows through on their refund promise.

A remote tune is done by someone not near you, they can be 5000 miles from you! They connect up to your car via internet connection onto your ODB port to flash your car, then you send them log files for them to fine tune and massage the initial tune. You can remote tune from anywhere as long as you have internet-
Almost all of these things don't send or received any OBD traffic, they just have a few flashy lights. Total scam. Idea of a plug in piggyback type of device is possible, but it would be very vehicle/protocol specific....which none of these are.
