Is the liquid used at the drag strip for burn outs water or something else.I have the factory tires and when I set it to compention driving I can’t get traction.
They had to be replaced at 5K miles because the tread got worn off.
water and soap.
Back in college days in engineering school, a few of my buddies and I got bored and extended the windshield wiper tubes to exit right above the rear tires on an old 305 camaro ... insta burnout (the car also ran super rich, so instead of fixing it we ran spark plugs in the exhaust .. that was not much of a success) .
Which "factory" tires are you running? If they're a treaded street tire steer clear of the water box and do a small burnout just to add a bit of heat and clean off the grit. As mentioned above, consult the manufacturer.
Only K&N intake and GHL over axle mufflers just for sound, no other mods, basically stock.
Goodyear run flats. If I go WOT from 2nd to 3rd in my 98 A4 it starts to go sideways.
I actually like it, the smoke billowing out the fenders.
I only do it by myself, not trying to impress anybody.
Tires are expensive.
There is a long stretch of pavement nearby in an industry
lot far enough from the main street that police wouldn't see it.

I got over the burn out deal as it just cost me tires and money.
if you want grip away from the track you need sone drag radials. They are soft and the grip with no need to burn out.
‘’the Goodyears sre made to TCP spec that aGM directs from the factory. The Goodyears were compromised gor some grip but for more miles in wear. GM back then wanted specific tire wear and so the tires are harder. Today they use Pilots that are good on grip but much less in miles of life.
Most guys mount up a set of drag radials and fo their racing but put the street tires back on. 1 for the drag tires to last linger and drag tires are bad in rain.
‘Note soft tires may only last 17k miles flown yo 2k or less miles with hard use.
My buddy ran M&H drag radials on his Duster and would beat most cars because of the grip and suspension mods.
Keep in mind if you start sticking you csn get into wheel hop and still spin the tires.
Wait wait wait..... no one willingly runs run flats on these cars twenty years later.
Let us clarify one point. When you say "factory tires"........ do you mean the original tires which came on the car from 1990-whatever?
If so, then please god do not drive the car or go heavy through a turn until you replace them! For your safety and everyone else's. If those are twenty year old tires they are good only for a glorious send off the valhalla in the parking lot or location of your choice. But by all means share the video when done.
No, I don't do burnouts on 250 dollar per tire tires. Well at least not with any regularity.
Never thought I'd say this, but $250 a tire is a deal these days. I recently replaced the tires on my trackhawk-- if I can find them under $700 each, I'm happy ... though with all wheel drive I' not doing too many burnouts in that vehicle.

Same size tires on our incoming RT. The general size can be had affordably, but once you account for the correct weight rating they pop right up to 4 to 7 hundred per. Not to worry for us.... The RT doesn't have the grunt to light them up. I'm sure the weight of the vehicle alone will wear them down.

My trackhawk lasted 25k miles on Pirelli p-zero 295/45 zr20's. Sadly, that's with swapping out a set of three season tires in the summer to do some club days.
