Default PVC question

I just got my car back from having a cam installed. I know my pvc hose was old and brittle however my builder said he got rid of the pvc hose and my pictures is how my car sits now. I planned on having a catch can but with how my PVC sits now will it cause problems?

With what was done to remove the PCV system, it is incorrect. You will need to put the factory PCV back in then add your catch can.

If that's how they left your car you need to find a different mechanic !!!

Right now you have a vacuum leak unless you have those ports blocked off.

You need this hose to connect those 3 points. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=11784&jsn=512

If you're adding a catch can, it would go between that hose end and front of the intake manifold.

Thanks for the link I figured it wasn’t right when he removed the hose but didn’t even cap the ports.

Also check your valley plate since there were three different units used on the LS1/LS6 engines over the years.

More info and hose diagrams noted here;

the valve cover is backwards? I See an open intake manifold vacuum port - AND I see a hose leading from ported throttle body vacuum that normally goes to the valve cover which is pointing backwards?

Don't block off any crankcase ports and don't leave any open like that its a disaster filthy contamination leaking put back the OEM pcv system use a OEM air filter if you care about the engine

Also, it is PCV, not PVC. The latter is a pipe used in plumbing.

When I was making amateur pyrotechnics I would used ground up Polyvinylchloride (PVC) as a chlorine donor in compositions for mortar stars

I've used PVC plumbing before to make a turbocharger bypass recirculation tube, the unknown fear is chlorine vapors due to heating might enter the engine
So I just used it to mock everything up, test it, get the sizes, then sold the c i mean replaced it with proper fabricated plumbing from actual metal materials suitable for the job
