So my question is….Can I get to the Aux jacks at the rear of the radio without removing the trim and radio?
The only way I've seen to get an adapters connected without removing radio is through the 10-ping plug in the back . The 10-pin plug is for optional cd changer, otherwise you will have to remove the trim and radio to install the item suggested (which does not appears to have an aux jack) but rather wireless (Bluetooth).
FYI: they are no AUX jacks at the rear of the radio--- C5 radio does not have aux jack..
BTW, the same company offers an aux input that connects to the 10-pin plug (if you have it, you will not have to remove radio trim) https://www.discountcarstereo.com/dcs-c5.html

Blue, you hit the nail on the head. There was an option to keep the 12 disc changer and that is what I chose. Can’t wait to get it.
Nice story! When I sold my house in NY 1-1/2 years ago, we became friends with the new owner and have stayed in contact with him ever since. He was so happy to find out house(especially in the condition it was) and he wanted it to be his forever house.
Anyway, I left approx 500 cd’s for him. No one was interested in them and no one wanted to buy them for more than .50 a piece. I had ripped some of them down to computer files and are now on my phone and accessible via Bluetooth. I never thought I would own a vette with a 12 disc changer. So,
I called him and asked him if he still had them. He said they were still boxed up in the attic. I asked if he could send them down to our new home in Florida. I told him I would pick up the cost of the postage and he refused to accept a dime from me. Long story a little shorter, I now have The original CD’s and have 12 loaded in the changer. I’ll switch them out every couple of weeks.
I guess I’m somewhat of a purest so I’d like to keep my ride as stock as possible.
One thing that I would like to add is a Bluetooth adapter so I can stream my SiriusXM over the stock Delco head unit.
So my question is….Can I get to the Aux jacks at the rear of the radio without removing the trim and radio?
Does anyone have or know of an adapter that will mute music when there is an incoming call?
TIA

Nice story…..right!
OK. so you have the 12-disc changer?
That's great!! taking that dash apart is not for everyone. I did 3 times lol. Started with the aux adapter, then Bluetooth streaming then my wife insisted in getting the one that does phone calls.
I don't see how the BT3-C5 would install in the back-- plus the CD changer must be disconnected, so you probable don't want that one.
Based on this chart: https://www.discountcarstereo.com/pdf/c5_chart.pdf
you probable need the BTH-C5 (stream, hand-free and keep the cd changer) https://www.discountcarstereo.com/bth-c5.html
or BTA-C5 (stream, and keep the cd changer ) no phone calls https://www.discountcarstereo.com/bta-c5.html
That is a nice and familiar story.. I have about 500 CD's boxed up in the basement.. Yeas ago i tried selling and had no takers.. I head CD's and LP's are making a comeback

QCO
you left off the CD on all your links. This is the unit I ordered.
I have the disc player but since I went blue tooth I never use it. So keeping it is nice but you will find if you have a disc you will likely just use the dash player.
The other thing is I kept in the car so I can just plug it in if I need a reason to use it. Mine is a rare working unit and the best way to preserve it is not use it. LOL!
Either way this is the bluetooth deal to use. I love mine and the sound is great.
For those who have bought the B3-C5 from discount car stereo: How is the bluetooth phone call quality? Do you get complaints from those you’re calling they cannot hear you or a lot of delay?

‘Skipped the phone option. If I’m out with the top down I don’t answer the phone.
Yea- I ended up ordering the one without the phone. The z isn’t the quietest of cars (rightfully so), so I usually just call back later if a call comes through when I am underway

Yeah, I don't answer the phone in my C5, top up or top down. One of the nice things about having a manual transmission in a car is the ability to just disconnect and let the calls go to voice mail.
I just received my BT adapter from discount car stereo and i am going to install it this weekend, but i have a question regarding the routing of the mic cable, how did you guys rout it?
I just popped off the A pillar cover then dropped the plug end of the cord down along the dash. It falls out the bottom and then it's easy to route it under the dash and over to the adapter. I attached the mic to the A pillar with double sided tape.

Well guys here's an update about the installation, everything went smooth installation wise but the end result it didn't work. I contacted discount car stereo and i explained to them what's going on with it they said it's software issue with the module it's not staying connected to the radio even though it's got the latest software and they told me to send it back for a refund.
