Help choosing outdoor cover for 2002 C5 Coupe. I have looked at several outdoor covers and just need feedback for making my choice. I love I Georgia so very little snow. But hot in the summer. Covers I am interested:
1) Superweave without fleece lining (Most Expensive)
2) Platinum Shield
3) Covercraft
a) Weathershield HD
b) NOAH
I have a Seal Skin Supreme that I've been happy with. Sometimes the Vette is in the driveway for a few days, instead of in the garage. I'll put the cover on if rain is in the forecast. It includes some storm proof straps for windy weather which did a nice job keeping the cover on.
I’ve had Covercraft and Noah (no longer available as far as I can tell). Neither impressed me much. No cover, regardless of the name and advertising, is waterproof.
Another forum member suggested a Kakit fitted cover on Amazon, and it’s been adequate for the price.
Fitted or universal? How long have you had it, and how does it do in the rain? Always on the lookout for a better option.
It's probably a universal cover for a car the size of a C5. When ordering you specify the car it's for, and they send the appropriate size. In the rain it's been great. There is elastic around the front and back that keeps it on the car pretty well. If it's going to be windy I'll also put on the three storm proof straps that go under the car and and it wouldn't come off. The cover can hold the water in low spots, and I haven't seen it soak through. I've had it just over a year, but I'm in Michigan so it didn't see any outdoor weather over winter. I bought a black cover. I see a very little bit of fading on the top surfaces with the black cover, but nothing that concerns me much. The light grey would probably not be noticable if it faded. No pictures of the cover on the car, but if I put it on in the near future I'll take a photo. The link below takes you directly to the cover I have for a C5 coupe.
