As an old man with bad hands, my experience is that this is the king of filter tools: https://www.ebay.com/itm/27674643593...Bk9SR5DViOGBZQ
My hands no longer have the grip necessary for a plier style tool. The three finger cam lock works on any filter where there is room for the fingers. Brand new ones are pretty much universally chinesium, find an older U.S.A. on eBay, market place, or a local pawn.

This has been my go to for years and has never failed me.

This one is a winner. The one shown does not have the rubber on the tabs for grip and can spin and possibly not work. I have used 3/8" rubber vacuum plugs to make it work.
