Both my C5's were not planned to be widebodies so I ordered both pair of rear wheels for a narrowbody. Why is there never enough time to do the job right the first time but always enough time to do it over?

This hits me where I live also. I finally find a decent quality flare vendor who happens to also be local and my CCWs sized for a BBK are spaced for narrow body and they don't make the sp500s anymore.... Also, I finally am in the category where that extra tire width and traction pad would come in handy.

LOL, my car is running narrowbody APEX with 315's and it has a Lingenfelter mini-tub kit and now 2" TPE style quarters...planning is also not my strong suite. I can probably get a steam roller tire under it now if I change wheels.

You do have a good option on those CCW's, though. Send them to Weldcraft in Michigan and have the outer hoops widened. Since CCW never offered their SP-series wheels in either a 19x12 or 19x12.5 width, having your 19x11's widened would accomplish two things: give you the added width you need for a wider rear tire and also a deeper dish.
Cost would probably be around $800/pair, now.
Why do I feel your initial question was aimed squarely at me for the never ending changes to the 03 build? That hurts, man! 🤣
LOL! The initial question was sincere. You just feel attacked because we both have forever projects.
You wanna hear some ****? I just got new tires and an alignment on the Z06. Guess what I find in a random box today? A full set of delrin bushings for upper and lower control arms from Borg.
I DO NOT remember buying those. Would’ve been great to find BEFORE the alignment. They’re definitely for the Z06 because my FRC has the monoball setup from LG.

One is a wide body. The other is still narrow, but I’ve been eyeballing the C7 Carbon full kit.
Going with wider fenders is a far better option, than minitubbing. The latter requires custom wheels with a lot of extra offset and if you ever want to change wheels, wheels for a minitub application are extremely hard to sell.
Anyone else change their build multiple times and forget some of the parts you bought? No? Just me? Fml
I do that **** all the time myself. I dont check my parts shelfs and boxes enough. I always end up double buying power tools, hot tub parts,, stuff for my vette, and lawnmowing equipment. I'll buy in Winter then forget come Spring and buy the same items again. Fortunately it's typically (but not always) wear items for me (hubs, alternators, brake pads) . So, it never hurts to have backup parts on hand. Apparently I also bought the washers for the anti-venom mod three separate times in the last 20 yrs (and still haven't done that mod).
Heck, I'm not even 50yrs old yet. So it's not a sign of age. It's just forgetfulness and having too many things on my "to-do list".

Op, you're amongst friendlies on this front!
The anti-venom mod made me laugh entirely too hard. Thank you for that.
I’m only 37. In my defense, I have some TBI. That definitely isn’t helping my memory.
