Has anyone purchased an EBCM from Mercer Corvette? They seem to one of few companies that source these for C5 Corvettes. I'm wondering if they are legit or not?
OK, Yes I have, a I originally bought a "Rebuilt EBCM from Automotive Scientific in TN, and once I received it I put it in and the EBCM light stayed lite, long story short, this company sent me a broken unit despite being ladled as new and if the " label is cut there is no return". So I contacted Mercer Corvette and they were really great, slightly longer order shipping time, it took 3 weeks to get a rebuilt unit, But they only have one warranty "lifetime" so I think they are a really good company who does a really good job and I'm very satisfied with the EBCM they provided.

Which model year(s) was your Mercer rebuilt unit for? 2001-2004? Or did they figure out a way to rebuild units for the1997-2000 model years?

Has anyone used them lately? My C5 came with one of their "lifetime" rebuilt units. They now have my EBCM for the second time in a year to rebuild it. The first time it took months to get back. This time it has been a month and I can't get anyone to answer the phone, email me back or respond to a chat on their website. It's a very uneasy feeling not knowing when or if I'll get it back. I suggest using ABSFixer instead, as I've seen many positive comments about them and they seem to turn them around quickly.
Yeah, and they are the real deal. I bought a replacement EBCM from Auto Scientific in Tennessee and what a nightmare that was they sent me a EBCM which was sealed for $1760 and I tried to use it, but the stupid ABS light wouldn't go out after it was installed. Wound up needing help from our on our Corvetteforum shop technical steward C5diag and he helped me with a pal of his about 110 miles from here, but he was aces, found the problem, It was the EBCM Auto Scientific had sent me despit having a stickers on it saying if cout no warranty
But with Walts help, the Auto electric shop 110 miles from my home, he even wrote a letter to Auto Scientific that their unit is not worth S*&^ and it took a few months and a call to the Tennessee AG but they refunded me the $1700 but I was frantic as it was spring 2023 and I wanted to use the car, and I called Mercer Corvette, they had a unit but it would take 30-45 days to be rebuilt the unit for my 2003, but I had them send it directly to Walt's and wala all fixed, and the only warranty I could get from Mercer was the only guarantee they give, a lifetime warranty, and I learned from them is that they ( at the time ) was that they could rebuild a Delphi unit, they were working on try to rebuild a Bosch units. Yeah Mercer are some right on time folks, never had a single once their unit was installed.
