Well I have an 03 and I wanted to keep the F55 suspension, so I found 2 front shocks from Davies Corvette in Florida and they went cheap $675.each the dealership like you, wanted $2000 for 2 So . . But I have only myself as I do enjoy the F55 suspension.
Thanks for the fast response, I tried asking specifically if these were OEM MRC shocks but was not able to contact customer service directly, only through vendors (either ebay or amazon) and did not get an answer. I got gun-shy and canceled the order after seeing the long delivery time and foreign parent company. I have an '05 Base Corvette Coupe, where can I find these magnetic shocks? I keep getting routed to Bilstein's or some other "performance" shock, but very few places had a full MRC shock set available.
Finally, is there any wiring or anything needed for hook up with these? None of the pics I have seen seem to have a way to control which Mode they're in when I flip the switch inside the car. <-- Sorry, newbie question.
Update: Thanks for all of the support and advice. I bought and installed Bilstein B6's all around. The tech had a GM Tech2 tools and just de-selected the ride control. Everything seems to be working, no codes yet. I'll get a chance to take it out tomorrow and get it over 80 mph safely. Fingers crossed. The harmonic balancer's next - the shop is putting in an ATI balancer and pinning it (belts and pulleys, crankshaft seal, idlers and belts too) and new plug wires and plugs. Next year - exhaust system - everything from the headers back, for the road, not track and hopefully not too droney. I'll search around here for advice on those. Thanks Forum! Much appreciated.
