C5 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
MCM hood
Does this look like an MCM hood? Seller removed it when he traded his C5Z in, for a new C6Z. Stored in the original shipping box, for almost 20yrs.I'm going to check it out, tomorrow, and hopefully bring it home with me.

Definitely an MCM. It's in my garage, now. Color is Electron Blue and the hood is in mint condition.

Look at these dimples at the base of the hood and the others at the top with the teardrop shaped opening, these look exactly like the bottom of mine. Also the grill opening panel should have screws so it can be removed. I had to take mine off to replace the wire mesh screen

Just based on the pics, it sure looks like the MCM hood I had on my 2000 C5 (only mine was not a high rise version).

Hood is now listed in the C5 classifieds, if interested.
edit: hood sold in less than ten minutes. A good friend of mine and forum member, about twenty miles away, purchased it for his killer supercharged Z06. Crazy, huh.
