According to the local weather forecasters, we're due for some rain, and a few final snow flakes, possibly, within the next 3-4 days, and then HOPEFULLY, a final rain to wash the road salt off the roads, and it will finally be "Corvette Weather"......
As a former Vermont resident where road salt is used all I can say is avoid it at all costs. Rust never sleeps. Moved to Florida where my previous C5 became a saltwater swimmer in hurricane Ian. No interest in salvage after being exposed to salt water. Best to wait until the salt is off the roads for good. You won't regret waiting.
We just had a one day blizzard blow through that kicked up and carried more dirt than I have ever seen before! There’s dirt and dust covering just about everything that was outside… including my car… sigh.
So the first Spring wash of 2025 is much needed, and will be a bit more involved than usual.
We got some light flurries, yesterday morning, here in western NY, but they didn't last. It did remain fairly cold/breezy, throughout the rest of the day, and into today. My wife and I went grocery shopping this AM, and the Jeep's in-dash thermometer was reading 25*F.
I'm in MD so whenever there's pre-treatment on the roads, after the snow storm comes it almost always rains afterward so I drive my Vette year round pretty much depending on the road conditions.
