I searched this issue, did not really find anything. I have the auto dim rear view. Can I replace it with a non-auto dim rear view?? I want to put Blue LED bulbs in to match the color of the car, interior and exterior.

2004 C5 Commemorative LaMans Blue.
I forgot that the plugs were different. See if you can get a non-dimming mirror off ebay, with a pigtail still plugged into the mirror. Or just the plug, and the splice the wires in -- it's just power, ground, and ignition power iirc.
I had to put a different plug on mind when I went with an aftermarket autodimming/light/homelink mirror. it's a piece of cake.
I did a search on ebay for "4 pin connector for c5 corvette reaview mirror, " and a bunch came up, though looks like they're generic 4 pin connectors, not sure they would plug into the c5, take a look.
Some auto dims work ok today. Most simply do not fit the need in our low slung cars when everyone else is in an SUV or truck or has an LED light bar. That instant-flip manual is a life saver even on a car with tinted rear window.
This is definitely one I'll be doing with the Z06 soon. Might see about a straight swap from the 427 coupe since its a 99. So maybe I have it easy as far as swapping the clip.

I have an aftermarket mirror that works great -- autodimming, reading lights, and importantly (for me anyway), three homelink buttons. I don't remember the manufacturer, but it's a pretty common replacement here, they also sell mirrors with backup cameras built into the mirror, I'm not a fan.
I bought one of those once. They have too much visual lag to be comfortable for me. Mine was the Wolf something brand on Amazon in high resolution.
I have one in my jeep cheerokee, but only because it's so highly modified its too high, and the spare is mounted on the back and too large for there to be any visibility-- there are ones out there that have zero lag, but you have to pay $$.
I intentionally didn't get the one with rear camera on my vette, visibility is great... a modern autodimming mirror w/ homelink is perfect.
