I might be coming into this 2000 c5 but these frog lights gotta go! Sorry if you like them. Anyway, I want to order some KnightdriveTV sleepy lights and was wondering what I need to replace. Is it just the motors and engine bracket i need to get? (idk what im doing)
also, you might not have the factory bolts that hold the assemblies to the chassis, so you may need to go hunting for those little bits too
assembly prices fluctuate wildly on ebay but it'll be about a grand minimum just to get the pop-ups going before you can switch to the aftermarket pop-up headlight kits.
finally, you'll need to get the pop-up covers painted to match your car so that's another expense...good luck
I might consider getting on FB marketplace or other market and see if any other C5 owner wants to do a trade. While I'm not fond of the "Frog" lights, plenty of people do like them. For me, pop-ups make the C5 desirable. Good luck on your quest.
I know that this would be a REAL LONGSHOT, but do you know anybody who could do a VIN trace for you, and possibly track down the previous owner(s), and see if they still have the OE parts that they removed?
Corvette central frames are about 150, cover is 129. Paint them yourself, cozt of paint $50 or so. Ebay motors can be had for $100/pair. So you'd still be into parts for au least 5-600. Could be done.
I understand your thoughts on the design of the "frog" lights as they are not a like with me. However, I do like the thought of having stationary lights. I suggest if not already done, doing research on the 'cons' of OME headlight mechanism by GM. Mine sometime will not go up, or one will not go down, and adjustment for the light projection needs abnormal routine maintenance.
Since you don't own the car yet, check to see if owner has the originals or if he has the previous owners contact as maybe he still has the stock lights.

Good luck. I'm not a fan of the lights that are currently on the car, but as mentioned, see if someone would want to trade you for an OEM set, then paint the covers to match the car.

another option for now would be to simply paint or use vinyl wrap across the top portion, only leaving the projector portion clear, that tends to look alittle better to some people....
Our kit is designed to completely replace the factory headlight system. Sometimes owners will gut things like electrical connectors or other hardware but you're missing the required components, we can provide the extra parts you need.

That's the best one of all the "frog eye" lights I have seen for the C5. Flows with the body lines really nice.
When I bought my car on 2020 it had the atrocious frogeye lights, custom painted and everything. Still ugly and quite frankly, not good light output either considering they were HID. I started with removing those abominations and did the Stealth Light Cannons and liked them, but eventually went with OEM pop-ups and the ACA Bi-LED setup from Sharp Light https://sharplightinnovations.com/sh...aca-headlights . I spent a ton of money getting all the components for the OEM pop-ups, but it was worth it in the end. I suggest, try to find complete L and R full working assemblies, you may luck out and find them in the right color with a little patience. Upgrade the motor gears to bronze and install the BI-LED ACA units from Sharp Light. You may also need the light control unit that installs under the Passenger side unit, maybe the owner left it but I think it would be unlikely since it mounts to the bracket.
