I have a C5 base and was wondering if anyone has done the Exhaust Mod Bypass. I have seen a few youtube videos from some that have done it. I understand this is for sound only and won't give me more horsepower. I would love a little more aggressive sound but don't want any unwanted side affects or codes being thrown.
My understanding from people doing it over the years is that it is a sound mod and doesn't affect anything else.
Though it seems like it would be nice to do, I've been on the fence about it since I don't want to really want to mod the stock Ti exhaust.
I just had mine done in May, and I'm really happy with the results. Love the sound, and it's not over the top. I haven't gotten around to making a video yet, sorry. Ti bypass mufflers freshly installed!

Any advise?
Hi you are going to love the bypass use 1,75 inch pipe....and i recomend opening up the H.pipe or installing a X-pipe at the same time....to get rid of the ugly boat noise
Yep, heading to the muffler shop tomorrow. All good stories so far with this mod, no downfall from what I read. Can't wait to hear it
I’m not sure any muffler shop will just “do this” mod. At least around here, they probably would not unless a specialty shop or possibly Mr Muffler. The Midas and Tuffy guys would laugh at you… 🙄
I set mine up myself with tube cuts with a friend and we welded it up after buying a cheap stock set.
