Exhaust Mod Bypass
Hey everyone,
I have a C5 base and was wondering if anyone has done the Exhaust Mod Bypass. I have seen a few youtube videos from some that have done it. I understand this is for sound only and won't give me more horsepower. I would love a little more aggressive sound but don't want any unwanted side affects or codes being thrown.
Any advise?

Have not heard of any adverse effects from doing the bypass mod. Yes, it should give a little more sound.

My understanding from people doing it over the years is that it is a sound mod and doesn't affect anything else.
Though it seems like it would be nice to do, I've been on the fence about it since I don't want to really want to mod the stock Ti exhaust.

By-pass for at least the last 25 years - love it - best bang for the buck - no codes just nice sound at idle and WOT! 😎

use 1,75 inch pipe....and i recomend opening up the H.pipe or installing a X-pipe at the same time....to get rid of the ugly boat noise

I set mine up myself with tube cuts with a friend and we welded it up after buying a cheap stock set.
