Driving along & both warning lights came on. Dealer says EBCM & Brake Press. Modulator failures. GM Parts no longer available.
my ? - What are the odds that both fail at same time, something must be common to both (in my estimation).
My genius fellow Vette owners - got any ideas - like grounding-faults, etc.
Help!
What year? 97-2000 you're up the creek. No parts or rebuilds available, the 2 options are live with it or replace the EBCM with a used unit. If you have an 01 or later the EBCM can be repaired.
EBCM is a common failure. "Brake Press. Modulator" sounds like your dealer did no diagnostics and is just guessing.
It's unlikely that anyone at your dealer has ever worked on a C5. There is no reason a dealer should be your first choice for repair on a 20+ year old vehicle.
Contact your local Corvette club, someone there may have a competent local mechanic. ABS Fixer may be able to repair your EBCM.
It’s an ‘03 Anniv. With codes as follows:
28-TCS 2 codes
60-IPC 1code
AO-LDCM 8 codes
A1-RDCM 1 code
A6-SCM 1code
we live Way back in the woods & Very Few choices on repair facilities.
On top of this the shift cable broke a mile from home, had to tow it back to dealer. No one around here has side lifts for elevating a C5.
thanks

Ok, those are the modules that are complaining. We need the actual codes stored in them
sorry team!
the info I posted was reported to me by dealer. I realize now that was totally insufficient! Will use ABS Fixer & get the job done correctly. I have verified all ground terminals in engine bay are good!
