Just completed my Cam/supercharger build...now we are moving to the back of the car for the trans and differential upgrades! so far very happy with the results!!! Big shout out to the guys at ECS (East Coast Superchargers) and Casey at MOT (Mail Order Tuner) for all the help along the way!!! Have not got to the dyno yet but forecasting around the 520 to 540 RWHP!! Thank for letting me share...final saga to come!!!
Spyder!!
Very nice! On top of the supercharger kit, did you have to do anything to the heads, valve springs or pushrods? I am on the verge of pulling the trigger on one & doing it myself. It will be the biggest engine upgrade I have ever done so I am a little nervous about it.
I did not do heads...everything else but! So, BTR stage 2 cam Int 221/619 Exh 240/617, (probably more cam then I needed according to my tuner), valve springs (BTR 660), BTR rockers and push rods, Did the East Coast Supercharger kit Novi 1500, of course while i was i the front of the engine new everything Powerbond 1127SS balancer (pined to the crank), water pump, Idlers, with the addition of 200 hp also upgraded the radiator to a two row core Dewitt along with the Dewitt fan upgrade. now I am getting ready to install the FTI 3000 RPM stall converter along with an HPI trans mount and an ECS trany/diff stabilizer....Then I am done!!! At least that's what I told my wife!! Good luck, willing to help from what I learned any time... By the way I would suggest that you have a decent tech level as you tke o this type of project...I was in the heavy equipment industry for 50 year and turned wrenches for 25 of those...Tooling is also important, it's like I used to tell my guy's "you can't do brain surgery with a butter knife"....Good luck
