A few years back (probably quite a few) I was at a gathering at the Corvette Museum and saw a C5 with the side cove painted like a C1. I spoke to the owner, I believe he said he was a dentist, and he said he "invented" the idea. Any others I saw got the idea from him. Okay. So, has anyone here done this to their C5? I noticed that Lightning McQueen in the movie Cars had the side cove painted white against the red. Anybody here try that?
I saw a c5 earlier this year at cars on 5th down in naples .. red with a white cove, also had a custom nose that looked kinda like a c1... not for me. c1 styles belong on c1s. Looked like chrome wheels on a c8, completely out of place.

I believe I have seen something like that before, but really did not care for the look. But if you like it, try getting it done in vinyl just in case you change your mind.

Good advice. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I haven't seen it done for years, and when I did, there was way more to look at. Just wondered if anyone here has done it.

This must be the one you saw. It does not look horrible from this angle. I don't like the noses of these couple kits.
Is this the one you are referring to? Found with a Google search. I actually kind of like it.
C5 chrome cove spears would be an interesting add-on.
That's the idea, but not the one I saw. It was a coupe and I think it was blue. I wanna say this was when the C5 was new. It was at the last Cruise IN I think. My memory is soggy anymore.
