Default Wheel size.... what works?

... I was wondering who of you are running 19" front and 20" rears on their cars? the C5 I just acquired has some Ruff Racing wheels in 19 and 20 but I am missing the front hub and spokes. Ruff Racing Wheels are out of business so no joy there. A lot of the C6 wheels are my favorite wheels on Corvettes anyway so will be looking at all those. I kinda like the 19 and 20 look on the car but just wanted to hear you opinions...... thanks

Any size wheel works that clears the brakes and has proper width and offset and tire sizes installed.
C6 wheels, rear at least, use a different offset than C5, so consider that when looking at wheels.
I personally, have 2008+ C6 "Gumby" wheels on my car, 18x8.5 front, 19x10 rear, and on the rear I have 20mm spacers to correct the offset for the C6 wheels on the C5.

Yeah, but your car has flared rear fenders.

Honestly IMO a 20" is a bit large. I prefer an 18/19 combo personally.

Yeah, 20's on the rear just make the brakes look so tiny, unless you have a big brake kit.

^^ Even 19's do. Why I installed C6 J55 brakes. Larger rotors especially the rear look much better.

thank you for the posts.... someone has put 12" drilled and crosshatch rotors on this car somewhere in the past. Looks like the stock calipers on those bigger rotors..... The car is supercharged so that was probably the reason for bigger rotors......

Actually, stock front rotors are 12.8", just looks like drilled ones were added.
Stock rear rotors are 12".

If you go big wheels and want better brakes on a budget the C6 J55 is a great option. 13" rear rotors and 13.4" up front. Look and work much better IMO. These are 18F and 19R wheels with J55.
