My ‘new’ C5 with thinspoke wheels have “worn out center caps”. Similar to the pic. Since I’m keeping the wheels and hoping to bring back the shine I was wondering what others do with Center caps that don’t look good anymore. I prefer the chrome style. thanks!
I bought a set of 4 on eBay that are in very good condition, for $100.00. The pictures on the listing looked good and the seller has a 100% rating, so it all turned out ok.

Thanks, those “plastichrome” caps can’t be rescued unless there’s a complete color change of the wheel which I’m not doing. I will take a look on Ebay.
thanks, they look great. I’m a former Metal shop teacher and experienced with ‘objects that don’t want to be painted’. I would buy new ones once I’m sure what I want to do. The prices I’ve seen locally for refinishing causes me to think about new wheels, but I’ve been burned by repros twice, that started pitting within a year. I have no garage and drive all year round. Higher quality wheels seem to be very pricey so I’m on the fence.
The wheels on the car aren’t bad, but I’d like to get rid of the curb rash and see them cleanup/shine. There was a time I would tackle it myself, but I don’t have the time.

Places like West Coast Corvette, Mid-America, etc may offer aftermarket chrome center caps. They may not come with the C5 logo, but a sign shop or e-bay should be able to get the decals.

Thanks Jack. I’m not worried about the decals, but it seems like the prices of renovating the wheels is almost the cost of new.
