I just have a simple question, is it a bad idea to get exterior mods for a corvette c5 before wrapping or painting the car. Keep in mind these parts would not be wrapped, curiously just wondering which mods would work and which ones wouldn't or if its fine to get them and then wrapping afterwards.
And for people who have wrapped a c5 corvette, how much did it cost you? and what color did you wrap it?
If you are going to wrap your car and do not plan on wrapping any exterior mods then I believe wrapping the car first would be the most logical. No point in paying extra to have the wrap shop remove and replace the mods when wrapping.
if you are going to repaint your car then the best route is probably install the exterior mods and then paint the car and mods.
Also depends on the modification. Some mods that should be body color and some should not.
Also some mods are easier to wrap before install.
Keep in mind the warp will fail and how soon may depends on how the car is stored and where you live. It is cheaper than paint but you get what you pay for. In So Call a good wrap that is in the sun all the time may last 5 years.
I don't think that wraps will ever replace a decent oaint job. Wraps never look quite right. Be aware that if you use a matte finish wrap and use a car wash (GO, Delta Sonic, etc) you'll eventually get a gloss finish on your car.
