Two accessories that I STRONGLY recommend are the Sport/Compact Drop-In Tray Set and the SUV Adapter Kit. I have my Z06 in the air right now with the SUV Adapter Kit. The extra few inches of height is so nice.
It adds a couple minutes when you are raising/lowering the car, though. You have to raise it with normal pucks, lower it onto jackstands or wheel cribs, swap the normal pucks out for the SUV Adapter Kit, then finish lifting the car.
am thinking the drop in trays would be useless for me anyway, the rocker panel is an inch away from the qj frame.
Now you're ready for the inevitable.... But really, congrats on the new tool. They make every task much easier and safer than jackstands.
Yup. My car spent most of 2024 on top of my 7000SLX Quick Jacks while I was getting my driveline rebuilt. I made some ~5” risers out of scrap wood to get the mufflers out.
The drop-in trays are really useful for the non-SLX models. The newer TL and TLX models are too long.
SLX minimum lift point spread: 29.5" EXT minimum lift point spread: 35.5"
TL minimum lift point spread: 37”
TLX minimum lift point spread: 43”
Those are a neat product. I bought a factory remanned SLX as they had just discontinued that model and at the time the TL was a no-go for a C5 without perpendicular or otherwise modified lifting. I have the SUV, pinch weld blocks and extension trays as well.
I got lucky that for whatever reason QJ sent me two complete pump systems and one set of lifts, so I have backups if anything goes sideways.
