Default Learned something new

Long time lurker/ learner but I think this is my first post, I've always eventually found what I needed by searching. So this is isn't a question; just a post on something I experienced.
The other day driving at about 30mph I heard a bang- kindof like something spring-loaded letting loose. Seemed to be coming from rear of car, so back home I poked around the trunk, and peeked underneath but couldn't find anything amiss. I figured I must have kicked up a rock or something. But back on the road at 50+ mph there's this whistling/ screeching noise again from the rear. Quickly returned home and jacked it up, pulled both rear wheels and again couldn't find anything. Finally, I noticed the rear latch for the roof panel was released. Re-latched it, and then it sprung loose 2 more times while driving. Seems like not much tension on it, I will spend some time looking to see if there is some adjustment.
Also the headliner is sagging, I see there are some forum posts on R&R that I will pursue. Thanks for that!

Yes, you can adjust the clamping force on the rear targa top latch. There is a set screw - loosen it, turn the clamping arm to tighten, then retighten the set screw. May have to do the process several times in order to get it just right.
