Loking for any recommendations for a service facility in the Central New Jersey area that is particulary skilled in electrical issues in a C5. From all the testing I have done personnally I am sue it is the BCM but may have other issues. Have an appointment with a local Chevy dealer but would like to hear from anyone on the forum who may have had a good experience with a facility in my area. Thanks for reading.

Look for local LS tuner shops like Jerry's Speed Shop Woodbridge NJ (folks with a dyno)Chevy dealers don't often deal with more than what a scanner tool tells them. Skilled electrical folks for trouble shooting are hard to find.

Jerery's speed Shop is fairly close but closed until Dec 8. Other LS tuner shops in the area but only one would deal with 2001 C5 and was not really thrilled when I s poke to him. Spoke to the service manager at the dealership and he said they were not really equipped to handle the problem I discussed. He did however recommend a Corvette Paramedics in Mt Holly, NJ saying he has sent many customers and they were very pleased. I called and had to leave a message which they said they would respond as soon as possible probably in a day or two because they were very busy. Hope this works out.

Just an update. I did call Corvette Paramedics on Dec 1 and left a message as I said in the previous post. I recieved a phone call On Dec 4 from the service manager. He said there next available appointment was about one month out and asked what was going on. He listened and when I was finished he said the symptoms I described could also be from a battery that did not have enough cold cranking amps and I should get that tested before making an appointment. That afternoon I had the battery tested and it was fine. I called back same day got the answering machine. Called back the next day and again left a message. As of today - Dec 9 - I have not recieved a return phone call. Very dissapointed. I did find a local shop recommended by several friends who also listened very carefully to the extensive testing I did to get the draw down from 1.45 amps to .01 amps and my sense was it was the BCM. He agreed, said get a BCM, he will put it in, bring in a tech to program the BCM and if there are other issues will work on them. Remanufatcured BCM coming from O'Rielly Auto Parts Dec 15. hope this works out.
