Back debating on an aftermarket seat for my c5. Its not a daily, but built to be just a fun overall street car, fbo car. Im looking at the Recaro Pole position seats, Sparco SPX, Corbeau Evolution x ( i tried the a4's and i dont fit. Athletic build, broad shoulders, 5'11" 215 lbs, 34" waist). Corbeau are definitely budget friendly, but not sure of quality and comfort. The Sparco SPX are the most expensive, on back order, but appear really nice. The Recaro, have the reputation and look nice too, especially in Leather & suede combo.
Curious over all opinions, especially from similar built guys or bigger. Pictures of seat installed would be great.
You really can't beat the oem C7 seats, bolt-in swap and you keep it Corvette that way too.
I'm not athletic build, but am 6'2" and 210, 36" waist and they fit me pretty well, and hold me in place very well.
They are kind of pricey on ebay, but you can often find them for a decent price on facebook marketplace.
I found mine there, and they were dirt cheap, but see other sets for less than the cost of a pair of new recaros or the better sparcos or corbeaus.
I have the Corbeau EVO-X in my car. Good seats, really good for auto-x maybe a little uncomfortable for long (hour plus) drives. Not having the tilt forward to get to the storage area is a PITA with a Z06. I tried the A4's but found the bolster hit my shoulder in a strange way that made them uncomfortable. BUT I'm also very tall in my torso, 5'9" with a 29" inseam. The EVO-X didn't have the same problems.
Corbeau's seat brackets are garbage. Yeah, they fit, and work fine once in. But I had to hog out every mount hole to make them fit.
Recaro had a corporate bankruptcy last year, and I'm aware of at least 1 person they screwed over on a deposit in the process. I don't think I'd recommend ordering anything from them.
If I was doing this again, I would go with the C7 seats. They are the perfect combo of comfort and hold. You sit in a C7, you'll see
I installed a pair of seats from a Dodge Neon SRT4. Fabricated my own brackets and had to change seat belts from C5 to C6 assemblies. Fit my 6ft. 195lb frame just right and I have what I feel as a unique swap. Cost was maybe $400 for seats on Craigslist.

no pics? Who made the seats for Dodge? Was it Sparco or Recaro?
Don't know who made the Neon seats, but they are very similar to the Viper seats. Here's a link to the forum where I got the idea from another C5 owner's install. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...erior-ect.html
I will send the few images of my install later today. Got preparations to finish for the impending Texas ice storm coming this weekend.
