Just for looks, or function? The splitter on my car is 100% functional in creating downforce. Like mentioned though it is really low and can hit things driving on the street. I have to be very careful. It takes away from some of the enjoyment of driving it around, being stressed about damage, but its primary function is a track car.
A C5 front splitter - also known as a overheating wing. Most of these impede airflow to the radiator and make cars run very hot, with no real benefits. Becareful which one you buy, the cool looking ones have problems.

I will second this one. The first questions I ask a member who posts about their coolant temperature at 230 or 240 at road speed are:
1. Do you have all 3 pieces of the air dam in place.
2. Do you have a splitter.
I also have had one on my car for quite a few years. I did have some cooling issues at first, but I cut the back part of it off that is suppose to feed air up and into the radiator area and that solved my problem. Not sure why that worked, but it did. I left the stock middle air dam on as that's the main thing that will direct air into the radiator and took the 2 side pieces off. If you do decide to get one, make sure the middle is open and has no restrictions that will let air in. The ones with the vents on the side and the middle closed off have the most complaints about over heating from what I've heard. I've also had mine repaired a few times too. It's actually in need of another crack fix and I have it off now to get fixed. I think it really makes the car look great, but like mentioned already, I does make the clearance an issue also.
As others have noted Clearance is the issue for me in not getting one. I really like the look but not enough to deal with the clearance and temp issues.

Pretty much my feelings as well. There are some front splitters that look really nice and even though I am lowered on coil-overs, I have a SC and that requires even more air input from underneath the car and I don't want to increase temps as I'm already running hotter than stock. I've thought about the cut out option, but I'm still concerned about damaging the splitter due to the long nose of the C5.
same lip as oh1vette has but not color matched and slightly different install.
The side of the car is lower than the bumper, I really only installed it to visually lower the front more. The air dam still scrapes prior to anything else on the car and has not affected temps
Little trick I used on my 911TT was to attach a 1/4” black Abs splitter under the air damn looked more aggressive but if it scraped it would float it instead of cracking or folding it under. I’ll definitely do the same when I get another street going C5 or C6
Maxx has a C7 Carbon splitter on his monster C5Z. I'll see if I have any more front pics. He hasn't experienced any cooling issues with its built LS7, that I know of.

very nice looking, love that blue color and wheels, are they CCWs?
