I'm very pleased, this is a custom version of navy blue metallic, they added some more pearl and reduced the purple by a large amount, the B pillar, targa and Z06 scoops are a custom version of a GM pearl black. It was at the painter for 5 long months. I also had them do the factory 1/4 panels so I can switch back if I want to.
Great looking. What made you decide to do the top bits black?
I went back and forth on this for months. I had not even decided when I dropped the car off in August, was still thinking all blue. But, the top was done in straight black when I bought it, so I did know what it looked like and my wife and the painter both thought it should be black. I was not sold. Then he showed me spray outs of various blacks with different pearls and metallics and when I saw that custom mix GM pearl black I knew it was the right thing. Very glad I went that way now that it is done. It has been home for 1.5 months, but no nice days to get it out for a picture or two. I have the "Z06" clone front screens to install yet and the side vent (front fender) screens also. I also need to get a new front emblem, as the old one was in bad shape.
I am not going to change the wheels, but I do think these Apex SM10R would look awesome with the new paint. I was so hung up on the anthracite back in 2021 when I replaced the CCWs with these Apex on the car.
