Default Jack points

Hey,I’m replacing my harmonic balancer on my 2003 Corvette and I’ve been watching a lot of videos about the job and most of them say to unbolt the cradle just enough to help slide the steering rack out from the drivers side wheel well but I was wondering if anyone knows other places besides the cradle to put my jack stands because mine are on the cradle right now but I need to unbolt the cradle,is there anywhere besides the cradle I can put my jack stands to support the weight of the front of the car?

I have a set of quickjacks that utilize the actual jack points on the frame. Not sure you'd want to use those without a jacking puck, but they'll support the weight.

Search on YouTube. I’ve seen a couple vids that used alternative methods so they don’t have to touch the cradle.

If you have jacking pucks, pop and twist them into the slots ( marked in blue on diagram ) under the door, somewhere at front of door.

Then carefully lower car/jacking pucks onto jack stands.

i slid mine over to the passenger side when i did mine. no need to remove it. don't have to remove the cradle. really helps to have someone help to watch where to avoid all the pitfalls when moving it. removing the power steering lines is a pita. good luck

Post 4 gives good guidance. Best of luck with the repair.
