Carfax?
Hello all,
Trying to get back into a vette, had a C4 and a C7, looking at a C5, seems pretty nice, 40K mi.
Would appreciate anyone who could run a carfax for me please. Ran a VIS at Chevy, no info

I can't help with getting the Carfax, but is is sometimes well worth the cost. A very clean Torch Red with black interior 1987 C4 I was looking at in Ohio being sold by an elderly widow turned out to have a very checked past. It started life out in Pennsylvania as a medium blue metallic with a blue leather interior. At 20K miles it was issued a salvage title. At 28K it wound up in Texas with this notation "it looks like the salvage and rebuilt titles from Pennsylvania didn't get transferred to Texas when this vehicle was sold. This may be a case of Title Washing." It then wound up in Missouri before going to Wisconsin where it was still noted as being a blue car. It eventually got to Ohio where the listing said it was dealership painted about 5 years prior. A third party was selling it for the widow and Hemmings had a lot of very good hi-res pictures and the paint/interior looked very nice. With that past history, no matter the condition at the time, it would have been a nightmare to try and sell. Good luck to both of you in obtaining a Carfax, but for me it was well worth the money, and I think I got two or three cars for one money.
