Default Quick question about simple mod's...

Hey, everybody.

First off, I am new to this forum, and I'm interested in getting a Z06. I'm almost 99% sure I'll have one by late april, I hope. But first, a few quick questions about some mods.

For those of you that have bought the sticker decals that go over the corvette lettering on the back of the car, and the front license plate frame, how have they held up? Its obviously much cheaper to go that way then getting the aluminum ones, but I want something that'll look classy and hold up well, and I don't think the sticker decals would.

Secondly, on the HID conversion kits on various tuners websites, can that use the stock flip up lights? I really prefer the flip up lights of the corvette, instead of the aftermarket headlight mods that they have now, like the spectre works ones.

Any information you could give me would be awesome. Thanks! I look forard to joining you guys on the road with the Z!!

- Tim

Welcome to the Forum!

I am also moving this back to the top where you might get more response, but you should also post this in the General Section, read by more members.

I have not had exterior decals, but have hear as long as you properly prepare the surface before installing them, they do fine. If you are looking for the chrome or stainless look, I would spend the money. Recently there have been sales on these. They are still more expensive than decals, but they look great and zero problems.

Enjoy finding your Vette, then the real fun begins! :chevy :flag :chevy :flag

Yes, you can use them with the stock lights. A lot of folks prefer the European spec lights, though. For HID's, you have to buy both the high and low beam kits. That's about $1450!! The European headlight system is excellent, and only hits you for about $300.
