Personally I dont like the stock Z06 wheels- the front ones look horrible after being washed for 1hr and then driving- all that break dust- I am actually going to switch the break pads to some different ones and the wheels. I would love to have the HRE but I really dont want to fork out $5k for them.
I really like the polished wheels better then chrome too, although the chrome looks better then stock. I might go for the iforged or fikse profil 5S.
I think it has to do with color also. The chrome (on a black car) set off by the bright red calipers is hard to beat. The machined look great on that EB. And black powdercoat looks great on MY and QS. If I were to go aftermarket, it would have to be the HRE 547s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Opinions anyone?? I assume this is standard finish below.
N I C E !!!
Those wheels are actually very old. That is the old 545 but with the new 'R style reverse lip. Reverse lip has a deep dish outer that allows the centers to be larger instead of 'stepping' towards the outer edge. ANyways the rim you want to check out is the 845 'R'. I think that these are THE SICKEST wheels ever to come out. And they Look AWESOME on a c5 in 19/20 sizes. Someone go to the HRE website and Post a pic of the 845 'R' plz... thankss

I was debating about the wheels while shopping for my first Vette. I found out that the chromed stock ZO6 wheels are 2 lbs more unsprung weight each, if this matters... Im gonna go with the stock '03 anyway cuz I like the look.. :steering:
I like the HRE 541's IF....I could keep the stock rims for racing and the 541's for street driving but if I had to make a choice...I'd keep the car stock
The stock wheels make this car look mean..and I like It! :D
I like the stock style, but finish depends on the car color for me. for black i like chrome wheels. but if i had a yellow or silver z i would probably go with black powder coat. :chevy
I also like the loks of the Panther Werks machined, painted, and clearcoated wheels. As soon as I get up off of my lazy butt, that is what is going on my 02 quicksilver Z06. I only wish that there was a local exchange available where you could just drive in, give em money, and drive out with the new rims.
