I remember reading somewhere on this forum that a shop in Fla did them also, perhaps someone can dig up that thread..Any other locations that do the quality work?
What for? Why defeat the track breed design of the fixed roof coupe? If you want a targa or a vert, sell the Z06 and buy a C5! If its only "air in your face" you want....open the windows. Guaranteed at over 120 mph, you'll wish they were closed.
The Z06 roof panel between the a-pillar and b-pillar is not a structural member. Removing it and adding a Coupe panel with the stock mounting points would result in the same chassis stiffness as any other Z06 when the panel is in. The Z06's additional stiffness over the Coupe comes from the fact that it is fitted with the Roadster's bracing behind the rear seats.
Actually, there used to be a Burke Corvettes in St. Louis a number of years ago. Dunno if it's the same one.
I agree about the rigidity issues. It's your car, enjoy.
Not sure, but Black_Magic may have someone that is not available to the general public. Great car, great work, though. I think it's got about every top possible!
