Default new dyno numbers

Went over to the MMT dynoday Saturday. I got a pcm tweak by 21st Century two weeks ago and the car finally busted the 410 mark and made excellent tq as well at 395.0
http://www.huntel.net/chdspny/blumeaniedyno.pdf

It's a pdf file, so you'll need acrobat to view it.

The car has x1 cam, stock heads, stainless works lt's, high flow cats, borla catback.

The air temp was about 98, humidity 55%, it was freaking hot inside the shop. I'm pretty pleased with the numbers since I've still got cats plugging up the pipes and the a/f is still conservative at 12.4/1 from 4500 to redline. I'd like to see how an offroad pipe and a bit more aggressive tune would react, but I'll take it the way it sits right now.

Great numbers on a conservative tune.

You probably could lean it a little bit from 6000-7000 RPM and stop a little of the HP drop off at the very top.

its one of those blasted reverse split cams:

230/227
.591/.571
112 LS

To tell you the truth, I was a bit disappointed after I first had it installed (late January). But after some additional tuning, I'm liking it more and more. I really think if I deleted the cats and went a tad more aggressive tune, it would clip very near 420rwhp/400rwtq on pump 93 and no dyno tricks (IE: short belt, aluminum flywheels, etc...)

thanks...do you have another cam you like?...several shops in the area have a 232/236, .545/.557, 112 that some have gotten good numbers from...but I am not sure I want that much duration and the problems associated...others like the 224 cam...I want to add 35 rwhp and the 224 may not do that?...also I office in Las Colinas (Mustang Square), we may cross paths someday.

If you get the right springs, then neither duration or lift should be a problem at all IMO. Contact the guys at MMT. They can do either mild or wild.

C5 CU, this the only cam I've tried. But you could probably do a search for "cam" on this site and have enough reading material for 3 months. In all honesty, the stock 02+ Z06 cam impresses me more and more as I read and see results. BTW...if you'd like to see the car, drop me a PM and maybe we could meet up for lunch sometime.

and thanks Rick. When is your cam getting installed..... :smash:

yes done the search(s)...just too much conflicting info for the same cam(s)...more bragging or slaming than info. Trying to find users like yourself who can give informative feedback....thanks.
