I've used it on other vehicles. About half the people I know that have used NOS have damaged there engines. It’s an incredible rush but runs out quickly.
If I ever want more power I’m going with a Super Charger. Never have to worry about refilling the tank or clogged solenoids.
Cheers,
Tim
I have researched it, looks like the cheapest bang for the buck$. The only thing you have to do it right, dont buy a cheap kit and throw it on, make sure you get the right filters, bottle warmer, probably about 1500$ in parts to do a really good kit. :smash:
I use to have nitrous on my 99 SS. NOS 100shot dry kit..ran it lean and burned the motor up. It can be awesome but make sure you got the fuel. If I ever spray my car it will def. be a wet kit.

Re: Nitrous experiences (Adam B)
I have been using a wet kit for about 2 months now (on my 4th bottle) and everything is going well. I had my car dyno'd and my A/F ratio is slightly under 11 on the juice, very safe. My setup ran about $2000. The electronic pressure gauges were $470 of that total, and I feel are VERY needed to run any nitrous system. You don't want to spray with the pressure too high or too low.
I run a window switch, use a shift light and have the usual bottle warmer and safety switches. I run a 100 shot and don't plan on any bigger. The gain on the juice was almost 105 RWHP and 175 RWTQ!
I only "use" it when I am on the track or when I think I may need it. It is addicting, but I am in counseling and doing well. :)
I've had my NX wet kit for about 4 mos now. I run a 150 shot on my H/C '01 ZO. I'm on my second bottle but I could still be on my first as I had it refilled at the halfway point. It's a 10 lb. bottle. I also had a 150 shot on my '99 Ls1 T/A which I ran with no problems. I rarely need to use it though. It feels like a down shift in the sweet spot of the power band. Do about 55 mph in 4th then downshift to 3rd and punch it. Something like that.
I had a custom dry 100 shot(all NOS brand parts) on my car for a couple years. Sprayed countless bottles(at least 50) through her with no problems except for burning off a plug electrode due to gapping the TR6s past .040. Dynoed 333/349 NA and 439/533 with the spray. At that time I ran mid 12s(1.9 60' times) at ~113 NA and high 11s(2.1 60' times) at 123+ spraying on EMTs. I haven't sprayed since I got heads/cam etc. tho...so I don't have any current #s. I will definitely go wet if I get the urge now.
